A great effort by Keaghan Sutliff lifted O-E Marauders Varsity to a 2-1 win in seven innings over the Chesaning Indians on Monday.
Sutliff’s 11 strikeouts helped O-E Marauders Varsity to the victory. Sutliff allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over seven innings.
Isaiah Rodriguez couldn’t get it done on the hill for the Chesaning Indians, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
O-E Marauders Varsity would score early as Jake Loynes scored on a wild pitch in the second inning after reaching with a one out hit. The Marauders would get the deciding run in the fifth as Michael Beno would score on an errant throw.
The Chesaning Indians scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Collin Rofle in the seventh inning. The Indians would strand two runners in the top of the seventh as the Marauders collected the 2-1 win.
The Marauders are now 10-8 on the season and 2-0 in Tri-Valley Central action. They will return to action this Thursday at home as the Bullock Creek Lancers come to town. First pitch will be at 4:00.
