The junior varsity girls power past millington 45-37 with a strong 2nd half of basketball. After a slow start, the Lady Marauders found themselves trailing 13-8 at the end of the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the girls turned up the pressure and forced several turnovers to climb back into the game and knotted the score at 21-21 at half. Great post play brom Onie Rademacher, Tristin Ziola, and Allison Reppenhagen forced Cardinal posts players into early foul trouble which led to 28 points in the paint for the Marauders. In the 2nd half Chloe Taylor found Madison Cunningham on several transition breaks that led to easy buckets. Cunningham had 10 second half points and 14 for the game to lead all scorers. Reppenhagen had 13, Ziola and Taylor had 7 each, and Thornton and Rademacher each chipped in 2. The Marauders travel to Valley Lutheran on Monday, February 5 at 6:00.
