Ovid-Elsie fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-8 loss to Corunna on Thursday.

Despite the loss, the Marauders did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Corunna had 15 hits on the way to victory.

Herrick was credited with the victory for Corunna. He allowed six hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four. Blake Galesk threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Jacob Chrenka took the loss for the Marauders. He went two and a third innings, allowing nine runs on ten hits, striking out one and walking one.

The Marauders racked up ten hits in the game. Chrenka, Cayleb Carman, and Cayden Flynn each collected multiple hits for the Marauders. Chrenka went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Marauders hitting attack. Flynn also starred at the plate as he was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBI’s .

The loss makes the Marauders 13-14-1 on the season.

The Marauders will travel to Laingsburg to play host Laingsburg Tuesday, May 28th, at 4pm to kickoff district action. The winner will advance to Saturday to play Pewamo-Westphalia.
